Name: Charlene Sarongon  Host Training Establishment (HTE): Cultural Museum  Week Number: 5  Dates Covered: September 22 - September 29  Submitted on: September 29, 2025 Concrete Experience  What did I do? What happened?  This entry reflects on nearly a week as an intern at the University Museum of Mindanao State University, General Santos City, alongside my co-interns, Wawie Lawa and Erica Tolentino.  My daily schedule involved going to bed between 10 PM and 11 PM, waking up at 6 AM, and aiming to be at the museum by 8 AM, which aligns with the arrival time of the faculty and staff. Our tasks included creating "pubmats" (promotional materials), editing videos, and writing captions for our video and photo content to be posted on the Facebook page, "MSU Cultural Museum." My specific role has been the photographer and videographer for the group in every event. We consistently sought permission and had the information checked by Ma’am Aguja, Ma’am Credo, ...

We met with our supervisor, the Director of the University Cultural Museum, Ma’am Alma Celesthia Aguya. Along with Ma’am Hanee Badilles. Following the endorsement, we had an orientation at the university museum led by Sir Halim G. Tabi Jr. and Sir Jim Jay.  My first two days of duty, September 18 and 19, were spent at the museum alongside my fellow interns, Erica Joy Tolentino and Wawie Lawa. Our first day was exciting, as we were immersed in the diverse cultures of various tribes and groups, including the Tboli, Blaan, Moro, and Christian communities. We engaged with numerous visitors, including classmates and friends. I made it a point to arrive at 7:00 a.m. to sign in, aimin...

Name: Charlene Sarongon  Host Training Establishment (HTE): Cultural Museum  Week Number: 3 Dates Covered:  September 10 - September 15 Submitted on:  September 15, 2025 Concrete Experience  This past week, September 10th, our class had its first mock interviews for our preferred Host Training Establishments (HTE). I prepared three copies of my resume and application letter. Our professor, Ma'am Hanee Badilles, was one of the interviewers. I chose three HTEs: CEMCDO - Tourism, SP Gensan, and CENRO. I was asked a series of questions, including "Why did you choose these three HTEs?" and "Why do you want to work with them?" The experience felt very real; we all lined up outside the Department of History, just like actual applicants waiting for an interview. The interviews lasted all day, from 8 a.m. until the afternoon. It was a great and valuable experience. Reflective Observation  Looking back on the mock interview, I noticed a few things. While I had p...

I slept at 10:30 PM, and woke up at 6:00 AM. We met with Ma'am Hanee Badilles and Ma'am Ruhama Gomez. Ma'am Hanee discussed the do's and don'ts for our resume, application letter, and other requirements, as well as general rules for our On-the-Job Training. Ma'am Ruhama talked about the Anti-Bastos Law. We also discussed different learning styles (accommodating, diverging, assimilating, and converging) and their connection to our MBTI personality types. My preferred learning style is the Converging Style, which combines Abstract Conceptualization (AC) and Active Experimentation (AE). Reflective Observation  The topics were very im...

Name: Charlene Sarongon  Host Training Establishment (HTE): Cultural Museum  Week Number: 1 Dates Covered: August 25 - August 31 Submitted on: September 02, 2025  Concrete Experience  Our On-the-Job Training (OJT) orientation, led by Professor Hanee Badilles, was a pivotal event that provided a clear roadmap for our upcoming professional immersion. Ma'am Hanee gave us a detailed breakdown of the requirements and guidelines, including the "Do's and Don'ts" that will shape our conduct. She also introduced us to the various host training establishments. This session initially brought on a mix of excitement and apprehension, but the structured discussion helped me gain a sense of relief and a clear understanding of what's to come. Reflective Observation  This orientation helped me see beyond just the rules and into the bigger picture. The focus on the "Do's and Don'ts" emphasized how crucial professionalism, responsibility, and adaptability are i...
