Concrete Experience

Today marked the final day of our internship journey at the museum. We started the day by meeting with our supervisor for a closing consultation. During the discussion, we reviewed our overall performance, the tasks we completed, and the skills we gained throughout our 180 hours of duty. Our supervisor gave us feedback on our strengths, such as consistency, teamwork, and responsibility and also encouraged us to continue improving in areas like communication and documentation.

We also had a consultation with Ma’am Hannee Badilles regarding our final requirements. She guided us on the proper completion of the internship forms, narratives, and documentation we needed to submit. She clarified the remaining details, answered our questions, and ensured we were fully prepared to finalize everything before officially ending our internship.

Completing these consultations made everything feel more real, we had finally finished our 180 hours.

Reflective Observation

As we reflected on the day, we realized how much we had grown since the beginning of our internship. The consultations made us look back at every task we handled, from curating visitors and encoding data to creating pubmats, participating in museum events, and learning basic museum management skills. There were challenges, quiet days, and busy days, but all of them contributed to our learning.

Talking to our supervisors one last time made us appreciate the guidance and support we received throughout the internship. We noticed how our confidence improved, how we became more independent in completing tasks, and how we learned to work as a team. Ending the 180 hours felt bittersweet, happy because we completed it, but emotional because the journey had been meaningful.

Abstract Conceptualization

From today’s consultations and overall experience, we understood that internships are not just about completing hours, they are about developing professionalism, building relationships, and understanding how real work environments operate. The museum taught us the importance of documentation, organization, communication, and adaptability.

We also recognized that guidance from supervisors plays a crucial role in shaping interns. The feedback we received helped us see our progress more clearly and gave us direction for our future careers. This experience reinforced the idea that learning happens continuously, not only in classrooms, but also through interaction, responsibility, and hands-on practice.

Active Experimentation

As we move forward from this internship, we plan to apply everything we learned to our academic journey and future professions. We want to improve our time management, continue practicing professional communication, and approach tasks with the same responsibility we learned at the museum.

We also plan to use the feedback from our supervisors as a guide for our next steps, whether in future internships, research work, or career opportunities. The skills we gained here will serve as a foundation for more responsibilities in the future.

Completing our 180 hours is not the end, it is the beginning of applying what we learned beyond the museum walls.
