As soon as the museum opened, we prepared the logbook and sheet to record every visitor accurately. Throughout the day, groups of students visited for class requirements, research, and casual viewing. We guided them through the sign-in process, answered simple inquiries, and made sure that each entry was complete and organized. When there were no students arriving, we shifted our attention to encoding previous records to update the museum’s visitor database. We double-checked names, time stamps, and purposes of visit to ensure accuracy. Curating students also meant making sure they followed museum guidelines, respecting the exhibits, avoiding loud noise, and maintaining cleanliness. Reflective Observation As ...

Name: Charlene Sarongon  Host Training Establishment (HTE): Cultural Museum  Week Number: 13 Dates Covered:  November 17 - November 24 Submitted on:  November 24, 2025 Concrete Experience Today was a relatively quiet and non busy day at the museum, with very few visitors coming in. Because of this, we focused more on our internal tasks as interns. We spent most of the morning editing pubmats for the museum’s social media platforms, refining layouts, adjusting colors, and making sure that the designs aligned with the museum’s branding. We also worked on writing and polishing captions to accompany the posts, ensuring the tone stayed educational, approachable, and engaging. In the afternoon, we continued encoding files and updating digital records that will be used for future exhibitions and documentation. Before the day ended, we had a short conversation with Ma’am Alma regarding our progress. We asked about our remaining hours, and she guided us on completing o...

The Career Sharing event hosted by the 4th Year Bachelor of Arts in History. Even before the main program began, the day was packed with activity. As a member of the decoration team, we started bright and early at 8:30 AM at the venue, H Building IceBox. We spent the morning preparing the venue, diligently arranging the tables and chairs, inflating balloons, and ensuring the area was clean before the guests arrived. The event itself ran from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. We were honored to host three distinguished alumni speakers: Ma’am Jai, Ma’am Luym, and Sir Momo. It was an undeniably inspiring afternoon, hearing their unique and unforgettable stories. They openly shared the winding paths that led their career dreams to become realit...

Unfortunately, I was not present during their visit because I had to attend a scheduled thesis interview in Barangay Calumpang, General Santos City. Before my absence, I informed my supervisor about my situation and obtained permission to miss that day’s activity. On the following day, even though I missed the visit, I made sure to continue performing my duties responsibly. Sir Halim, one of the museum staff , told us on the other day that he was absent for one day, and he assigned us to take charge of the museum in his absence.   Reflective Observation The experience of taking charge of the museum without our su...

On this day, we didn’t have any special visitors or guests from other colleges, but we still had students coming in to visit. Even without special events, working in the museum is always a joyful experience because we continue to serve and entertain different groups, whether they are students from other schools or even visitors from other countries. Most of my tasks for the day involved encoding information and organizing documents. I also assisted and guided students during their visits, helping curate their experience and making sure they felt welcome. The museum was quite busy, with many different people and students coming in and out throughout the day. During our free time, my co...
